P
osition: WCMHS is seeking a ChOICE Behavioral Interventionist Educational Support Specialist: Provide direct supervision to youth within an integrated mental health treatment facility / educational center.  Implement behavioral programming and milieu counseling in social, emotional and recreation/leisure skills and activities of daily living in classroom, day treatment and community settings.  Provide individual and group supervision as needed.


Qualifications:  
Education / Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in human services, education or psychology preferred.


Additional Requirements: 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to interact well with parents, school staff, WCMHS staff, and other professionals.
  • Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle is required.
  • Able to stand, walk and/or run for prolonged periods of time.
  • Willing and able to satisfactorily complete specialized physical and verbal de-escalation training is required.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
  • Willing to learn crisis de-escalation and passive restraint techniques.
  • Must possess the capability to complete Handle With Care training to the satisfaction of a Handle With Care instructor.
  • Ability to physically restrain youth who are a danger to self or others.

Compensations and Benefits: This full-time position offers an hourly rate of $23.13/hr. and excellent benefits, including tuition reimbursement/student loan assistance; generous paid time off; employer-sponsored health, dental, life, and disability insurances; and a 403(b)-retirement plan with employer match.
