POSITION:
The Behavior Consultant provides consultation and programming based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Under the supervision of the Senior Clinician, the Behavior Consultant conducts behavioral assessments, develops and monitors individualized behavior plans, and provides consultation to staff, families, and interdisciplinary teams across school, community, and mental health settings. The role includes training and supervision of staff, participation in educational and clinical teams, and occasional client transportation.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education and experience requirements for this position include:
- A minimum of three years of field experience working with children and youth who present serious emotional and/or behavioral challenges is required.
- Experience working in school settings is highly desirable.
- Current and unencumbered BACB certification and licensure (or licensure eligibility) in Vermont
OR - A master’s degree with training in ABA and significant experience working in an ABA-based program.
- Adherence to supervised fieldwork contracts and expectations is required if not certified.
- Proficiency in conducting behavioral assessments and developing behavior plans.
- Ability to train and supervise staff in ABA practices.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with case managers, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Ability to work effectively in school, community, and mental health settings.
- Valid driver’s license, excellent driving record, and access to a safe, reliable, insured vehicle.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS: This full-time position offers an hourly rate of pay $24.77/hr and comprehensive benefits, including paid time off; employer-sponsored health, dental, life, and disability insurances; and a 403(b) retirement plan with a generous employer match. WCMHS also offers educational benefits, including tuition reimbursement and student loan repayment.
