People and Culture Specialist

Job Duties:
  • Collaborate with the team on full-cycle recruitment from job postings through onboarding, ensuring exceptional candidate experience and timely hiring of qualified professionals.
  • Partner with hiring managers to understand their specific program needs.
  • Navigate employee relations issues with empathy and professionalism, with a focus on relationship-building and coaching.
  • Represent the agency at job fairs, college visits, and recruiting events in collaboration with the recruiting administrator.
  • Represent HR well by supporting projects and initiatives as needed.

Qualifications and Experience:
  • Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, HR, or related field with 2 or more years of HR experience, OR equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of basic employment law issues, in hiring and employee relations issues. 
  • Demonstrated understanding of hiring life cycle.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills across diverse audiences. 
  • Strong proficiency with MS Office and familiarity with HRIS and ATS systems preferred.
  • Experience doing direct service work in health and human services is helpful.

Compensation and Benefits: 
This full-time position starts at $27.78 per hour and includes: paid time off, employer-sponsored health, dental, visions, and disability insurances, 403(b) retirement plan with generous employer match and vesting. 

Work Environment:
This is largely an office-based position with extensive sitting or standing at a work station, phone calls, and meetings both in-person and on videoconferencing. Local travel to various agency locations will be required, as well as some local and regional travel to recruiting events.
